Made Architecture & Design is a modern architecture studio grounded in the belief that thoughtfully designed buildings and spaces have the power to be transformative—regardless of size, use, budget, or scale. Our work begins with curiosity and the joy of discovery, exploring each project’s unique opportunities to create meaningful and lasting solutions.
We guide clients through the process of designing and building projects with care and clarity. From early conversations about site, use, and lifestyle to design development and coordination during construction, we help navigate the many decisions that shape thoughtful architecture. Our guide, The Thoughtfully Made Process, offers a closer look at how this process unfolds for our clients.
Our goal is to create spaces that are deeply personal to the people who use them and meaningfully connected to the broader community.
Typical Projects
Our work most often involves custom homes, meaningful renovations, and select commercial spaces where thoughtful design and close collaboration are valued. These projects benefit from a deliberate process and a shared commitment to quality, from early design exploration through construction.
Courtney Morrison
Founding Architect
Courtney is a Savannah native who grew up building and exploring—whether constructing dirt castles, intricate Lego creations, or modifying remote control cars. That early curiosity about how things are made and how they work together continues to shape his approach to architecture today.
After moving to the Atlanta area to attend Kennesaw State University (formerly Southern Polytechnic State University), Courtney developed a deep appreciation for the design process and the role of careful observation in creating meaningful spaces. He believes every project carries its own context and opportunities, and that the best solutions emerge through thoughtful exploration, collaboration, and discovery.
Courtney enjoys guiding clients through the journey of design and construction. Each project brings its own challenges, and he finds fulfillment in helping clients navigate decisions while uncovering solutions that reflect how they want to live, work, and experience space. He values collaboration with clients, builders, and consultants to bring projects from early ideas through construction with clarity and care.
Outside the studio, Courtney spends time outdoors with his daughter, enjoys brunch with his wife, and participates actively in his community. Whether at his local church, training at the gym, or playing golf with friends, he seeks the same sense of connection and balance that thoughtful design brings to the spaces we inhabit.
Planning a Project?
Many of our clients first reach out while they are still exploring possibilities — evaluating land, learning about the design process, or trying to understand the investment required for a custom home.
Our guide, The Thoughtfully Made Process, explains how we approach modern residential projects and what clients can expect along the way.
